COMMENTS WELCOME

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I just wanted to let everyone know they can complain, or comment on the weather anytime they want. Weather is one of, if not the biggest, topic of discussion. However, it seems on the Storm Team Weather Blog, not too many like to weigh in on the weather.
So, if Mother Nature is bugging [...]

VIEWER QUESTION: WHY DON’T YOU GIVE THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IN YOUR WEATHER REPORTS ANYMORE?

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

This is a great question. Back in the day it was common practice to give the relative humidity, or how close the atmosphere is to saturation. There are problems with relative humidity, though. The biggest being that it is relative…. Relative to the heat and moisture content of the air. For [...]

Monday, July 28th, 2008

While there were a few severe thunderstorms that developed inland over the weekend, the Petelin family was able to enjoy some fantastic weather a litte closer to the lake. In the picture above, Little Miss Elizabeth is shouting down from the bridge in Asbury Woods to a family skipping stones in the creek.

The National Weather Service’s doppler radar in Cleveland estimates nearly three inches of [...]

HURRICANE BERTHA

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Bertha was upgraded to a category one hurricane this morning. While this storm is getting stronger, it does not appear as though it will have any impact on the Caribbean. As the forecast goes out in time, the exact path becomes less certain.

Right now, though it appears as though Bertha will stay out [...]
