In over 25 years of Erie broadcasting, Scott Bremner has handled just about every duty in television news. As a video journalist, Scott’s work has been used by both the ABC and CBS evening newscasts, most notably his pictures of a killer tornado at work in 1981. As a reporter and anchor, his work has received numerous Pennsylvania statewide awards, from the local impact of the first Gulf War to the impact of tattoos on teenagers.
In 1998, Scott began writing a column directly to the Internet through GoErie.com, and in short order they too began winning awards. First, Scott was awarded a silver medal by the International Association of Business Communicators. And in 2000, Scott was judged to be best in the nation for online work from the prestigious National Society of Newspaper Columnists. A collection of those pieces can now be found in Scott’s first book, “Thoughts from Under the Hat.”
The video version of Scott's weekly columns can now be seen here and also air every Friday night on Newswatch at Six.
He also anchors the WSEE noon show, the weekend Insider show and has an in-depth story every night at six called "The Newsmakers.
Scott is married to Diane, a high school English teacher. They have two daughters and live in suburban Erie area.
